Scholarship Description:
The Heinrich Böll Foundation is designed to award international students who which to study in Germany. The foundation sponsors students who finished from universities that are outside Germany. These students are to study either a Masters or PhD Degree in the country.

Heinrich Boll Scholarships for International Students is for those who intent to study either Masters Degree or PhD Degree in all subjects offered at state or state-recognised universities in Germany.
Students coming from the European Union, they can go to state or state-recognised universities in Germany, Switzerland, and other EU member states.

The Target group:
Students from EU and non-EU are accepted. However, those who are educated in Germany are not allowed to participate.
Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:
Masters Studies: For those who are not from the European Union,: €850 per month plus various individual allowances; tuition fees are in certain cases possible in Germany.
European Union students: varies, the maximum is €649 plus €300 book money per month; tuition fees not possible in Germany but possible to a limited extent in other countries.
Heinrich Boll Scholarships for International Students is for a period of study and can be extended by one semester.
PhD Students:
Non European Students: €1,200 per month plus €100 mobility allowance per month, plus various individual allowances; tuition fees are not possible.
European Union Students: €1350 per month basic scholarship plus €100 per month research costs allowance; tuition fees are not possible in Germany but possible to a limited extent in other countries.
Those who are awarded this scholarship enjoy it for two years and can be extended twice at most by half a year.
Students Eligibility:
Only those international students who didn’t study in Germany are accepted:
Students can apply before they start their Masters degree. They can also apply any time till the end of their first semester as Masters students.
Students must provide their professional qualifications with proof.
For international doctoral students who finished from schools outside the country:
They must have gotten admission as doctoral students before they can apply for the scholarship in any state or state-recognised university in Germany.
The students must show that they have been admitted with proof of admission.
By the time the students applied for the admission, their preliminary works should be completed and the valid timetable for completion must be submitted.
The subjects for the PhD students should be related to focal points of the Foundation’s activities will be given priority.
