The Yale Young African Scholars Program (YYAS) is designed as an intensive academic and empowerment project for African secondary school students, who are thinking of furthering their education and also wish to make a positive impact as leaders in Africa.
BENEFITS
- The participants of this project will have the opportunity of improving their academic pursuits.
- They can also get financial aid application guidance, get admitted into the university and join a network that comprises of young leaders from across Africa.
- Following the program, the students are going to paired with tutors or mentors from American university students and local organization who will support and advice them throughout the university application process.
- The students are not expected to pay when they participate in YYAS.
